CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Delivery Driver (1 YEAR EXPERIENCE)

An incredible opportunity to bring your customer service expertise to a growing and dynamic company. You will be responsible for the delivery of products over established routes while providing the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities will include making deliveries, keeping delivery records, accepting payment for goods, and ensuring overall vehicle safety. The Delivery Driver will be expected to operate the delivery vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road, and follow all appropriate company policies and procedures.

Location: North York, ON

Reporting to: Transportation Manager

Educational /Technical Experience:

• High school diploma or GED an asset

• Valid Driver’s License.

Shift : AM Shift

Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operate and drive automobiles, light trucks to pick up and deliver various products.

• Deliver products over established routes.

• Deliver products into customers’ locations as required (may include delivering up/down stairwells at some locations).

• Ensure correct loading of vehicle.

• Inspect the order at time of delivery to ensure all products invoiced are present.

• Pick up returns, empty crates and pallets to be returned to the warehouse.

• Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road.

• Complete drivers end of day check-in with the warehouse coordinator to ensure all invoices are signed, all returns are processed by a receiver and all monies collected at the customers are accounted for.

• Communicate with central dispatch.

• Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

G Class Driver Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Driving & Delivery
• MINIMUM 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE
• Must know locations well
• Clean Driving Record
• Customer services experience is a must

Responsibilities:

• Picking up products from the distribution center and delivering to client all over the City
• MINIMUM 6 months - 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE
